The E Litter 2023

06/11/2023: Tuna! They went to town on it, and then pooped on the walls in celebration bahaha!
06/09/2023: The babies tried yogurt for the first time, it was messy, but they enjoyed it a lot.

On May 3rd 2023, Monet had her second litter! Four beautiful longhair babies came into the world starting at 1:23 pm. She ended up having two sons and two daughters!

04/17/2023: Baby Lenny has gone to live in the great wide state of Oregon! He will be close to one of our past families and their baby boy, hopefully they can grow up together and be best buddies!
04/11/2023: Baby Nimbus has floated off to his new home, on cloud 9! This beautiful boy is going to be an ESA and help with the chores around the house too hehe!
04/07/2023: Baby Daenerys, aka June, has flown the coop! She is the first beautiful child to go to her new home, and we miss her already, but we are excited to watch her grow into the beautiful young woman she will one day become!
03/27/2023: The litter had their first vet appointment! They were vaccinated, wellness checked, and received a group fecal.

02/08/2023: Surprise!!! Jules had her beautiful children 2 days early!!! On Monday, February 6th, 2023, five beautiful babies were born! Two gorgeous black daughters, one golden daughter, and two handsome golden sons!
We are super excited for this litter because it will be our first with Cecil as the father!!! Our boy may soon be a daddy for the first time and that's always cause for celebration! The courtship was long, he took a while to figure it out, but Jules was very patient with him and is such a wonderful mother and partner!
Confirmation of pregnancy won't be until mid January but if so, we will be expected black and tans, black and creams, possibly in brindle, as well as reds and creams, also possibly in brindle! Stay tuned!
The C Litter 2022

Late in the evening, on October 7th, 2022, 3 beautiful babies were born! Celestine, who appears to be a Black and Tan dapple girl, Catherine, who appears to be a Black and Tan brindle girl, and Constantine, who appears to be a Black and Tan dapple boy. All longhairs and all on hold until the stud owner has made their pick.
Because this is Monet's first litter, we wanted to use a male who was already proven and who we knew produced wonderful offspring! So we went with Mickey from Beautiful Doxies, for our 3rd time this year! Mickey throws very beautiful babies, and knows how to approach maiden girls, so we knew he was the perfect stud.
For conformation observations, we note that Monet has very large round eyes, while the standard calls for small almond shaped eyes. Mickey has much more 'almondy' eyes than Monet so we knew pairing them would be great on that front. Monet also has a slightly higher rear than front, which makes her, otherwise straight, topline slanted, while Mickey has a nice straight leveled top line, and very nice bend at his stifles. We hope to correct both of these points with this litter. Lastly, as we were able to observe with our last two litters that Mickey sired, Mickey doesn't throw puppies that look exactly like him, but instead throws puppies that look like his lineage, which is very nice broad chests, and gorgeous heads with very little stop. We hope to incorporate his lineage into his children as well.

05/30/2022: In the early hours of the morning, five beautiful babies were born. First born was a black and tan girl, second born was a black and tan girl, third born was a black and tan boy, fourth born was a black and tan girl and last born was a solid black/heavy brindle girl. It's possible some of the other Black and Tans are also brindle, which will be more apparent with age.
I wrote this poem to commemorate the birth of this litter.
"Puppies in the Mornin'"
In the cold hours of the morning,
Before dawn shared its light,
Five little puppies born,
to my delight.
Black of fur,
eyebrows tan,
Long of length,
And friend of man.
Four girls and a boy,
Mama doing just fine,
Hungry little tummies,
On milk they now dine.
For this litter we chose to use an out of house stud, Mickey, from a fellow breeder, Beautiful Dachshunds. We chose Mickey for his excellent pedigree, structure and compliments he has for our girls. Mickey has a wonderful skull to nose ratio, stop, ear set, long neck, chest, top line and a very nice rear end. Jules has nice long ears, a deep chest, and straight top line, but is lacking in the rear end. We hope to correct that in our lines with this litter!
Genetically we are expecting all Black and Tans, with possible brindled points. Our fellow breeder, owner of Mickey, Ryssa, gets first pick, followed by our pick, from this litter.
The A Litter 2022

Audrey appears to have a small umbilical hernia and has been reduced in price to cover her spay and hernia surgery. The vet will fix the hernia while doing the spay and it shouldn't cost much extra, which is why we discounted to cover any extra charge.
06/09/2022: First de-worming with Pyrantel Pamoate.
May 26th, 2022: Four gorgeous babies were born in the evening. An up and combing doxie breeder, Paige Hartford, assisted with the delivery and did wonderfully! Three girls and one little boy were born, Azalea was born first, followed by Alasdair, Audrey and last was Aurora.
For this litter we chose to pair our Sushi, with an out of house stud from Beautiful Dachshunds named Mickey. We hope to bring more chest, coat length, and a straight top line into our program from this pairing.
We are expecting Black and Tans, with a possibility of solid black, puppies in this litter.
Mickey's owner will get first pick, followed by our pick.
For concerns: Sushi is a wonderful mother, this will be her 5th litter. While we normally like to have a cut off of 4 litters (5 is our max), Sushi has proven to be a loving, caring mama to her pups, and to bounce back within one week after whelping, which is why we have chosen to breed her again. Sushi has previously had a litter of 3, 2, 3, and 2, so we are expecting somewhere between 1-3 puppies.

For this litter we bred Dahlia to an outside stud named Murphy, who belongs to Rain Hack of Crestlines Kennels, in Washington state. Murphy also happens to be Aidan's father!
Murphy is a chocolate based cream longhair and for this breeding we sent Dahlia over to his house!
In regards to conformation, we think because Murphy successfully produces beautiful full longhaired coats, that he can correct the broken coated status we believe Dahlia to have. Similarly, we are hoping he'll add some nice ear sets to our lines, as we plan on keeping a boy back for our program! We are expecting reds and creams, with black bases, possibly in piebald!

Aidan is a spunky shaded red piebald longhair with a heart of gold. Hes currently 9lbs.
In regards to conformation, we are hoping that Roslyn's gorgeous topline and Aidan's spectacular head and fur texture will create pups of great AKC standards.

As of Halloween Day, all of these beautiful puppies have found homes! If you missed out on this litter but still want a baby from us, we will be expecting another litter around April of 2019!
For this litter we bred Dahlia to an outside stud named Sammy, who belongs to Jeanine Stewart of AJM Dachshunds in Oregon state.
Sammy is a gorgeous longhair cream boy with the sweetest temperment. We had the pleasure of having him visit us for two weeks and he was so well behaved! We believe his wonderful temperment will go great with Dahlia's, which is also very mellow and loving.
In regards to conformation, we think because Sammy is a slightly larger dachshund, he can add some defining bone to Dahlia's otherwise petite frame. We also hope to possibly give more angle to the upper arm of Dahlia, which is currently too steep. A minor correction we'd like to see is an adjustment to the ear set on Dahlia as well. She currently has ears that are slightly too low on the head, resulting in a flippant carrying position.
